Dr. Concetta Russo will conduct this workshop.
Audience: Teachers Pre K - 12
In this workshop, Dr. Russo, author of RTI Guide, Making IT Work: Strategies = Solutions, will examine theories and models of how children with exceptionalities and dyslexia are taught reading fluency, vocabulary and comprehension skills. Participants will be exposed to many different methods of teaching reading skills. The Response To Intervention (RTI) Model will be explored as you investigate ways to develop curriculum, material and instructional adaptations in all forms of literacy. These strategies will transfer to more effective classroom practice. Both workshops conducted by Dr. Russo are independent of each other.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion for 45 clock hours of professional development.
